AI Era Reading List Beyond Major Boundaries
· 书籍 · Mark Wang
Schools split people by majors because industrial-era production needed strict role separation.
In the AI era, that strategy is no longer enough.
If you want durable competitiveness, you need broad foundational knowledge and a strong conceptual framework. AI can help with many implementation details, but it cannot replace your worldview.
My core conclusion:
The value of ideas is going up, while the value of mechanical execution is going down.
That means society will increasingly reward people who can define better problems and frame better questions.
This is why I built this reading roadmap: to strengthen first-principles thinking across disciplines.
Why this list
- Cross-domain transferability over single-domain depth
- Classic books with long-term influence
- High signal-to-noise for practical thinking
Next step
I will keep expanding this list and adding structured notes for each book as I read.
